As a very young child I remember watching my father paint the finger nails of a dead chicken's claws, and then hand to my mom who would put the finishing touches on it with yarn, or another decorative fabrics.
Some on this blog married into the Allen family. Some of us, on the other hand, didn't have a choice.
:) Ok, that was one of my favorite comments to date! Anyway, if some of the fam should stumble upon this page per my recent letter but do not have connections to the other blog and the historic christmas photos I mentioned, they are actually on one of our "sister" blogs (or is it "brother" since Polvo'd started that one?): http://canoblogfood.blogspot.com
