Your Day In Court

For part of each of the last two days, I have been watching the performance of my favorite DA at work in a court of law. I learned that apparently anyone can bring a case to court. I also learned that security there is about as tight as at the airport. The only difference is that you can use a camera in the airport. Please double click to enlarge my courtroom sketches so that you may enjoy all the legal detail!

seems to me there is an interesting back-story missing here.

I love the sketches! I don't think I could have made it through school, or most of life, without sketching.

The sketches are great! I see a DA themed comic strip in your future . . . now if only we could come up with a name for said comic strip.

Thank you, gentle women of the high country. Valencia, I like the idea of an ongoing comic strip - though my drawing skills are limited - hmmmm, perhaps best matched to a "comic". Abbzug, your feelings are correct. There was so much more to say, but I am almost paranoid in my fears to undermine the privacy of the DA - or legal system. In fact, after I learned that the judge had commented to the DA that he observed me taking notes, you'll see I removed a direct quote and observation from this drawing!

I love your drawings! The comic strip idea is a great one! I'd like to know what the DA said to the judge about the suspicious woman taking notes??

the original drawing had a comment about the judge checking his facebook account, did it not? (leading question).

I love the sketch. I have learned a lot about the american judicial system from teaching an advanced listening/speaking class at CSU (ESL). Students do a mock trial (helps with spontaneous language) and we go see part of a trial in town.
