oh you mean Boisea trivittatus? These adult insects are about 1/2-inch long, black with orange or red markings, including three stripes on the prothorax, the area right behind the head. Their wings lay flat over their bodies, overlapping each other to form an ‘X’. They are best eaten after being dried a few days but can be eaten raw in a pinch.

Oh man! That's what those are. My office at school is filled with those ..don't know why I'm bothering to pack a lunch!
