So I am walking around the grocery store yesterday and see some beans called Anasazi. They look like red speckled beans and I have never heard of them. The bag states they were grown since 130 AD in Mesa Verde Colorado by the Indians. So I buy a bag, bring them home, and fix them. Put some onions, spices, and a couple pieces of bacon in a pot with some water, simmer for a few hours. Then eat them served over some good ole cornbread, chopped up onions, and some balsamic vinegar. were pretty good....tasted a bit like black eyed peas. Made me feel kinda like I was eating with the Indians.
