If you leave a glass of wine on the counter top while reaching to open the cabinet above it....... and one piece of the Magic Bullet falls off the cabinet shelf and on to the glass...it will break the glass of wine, splatter the wine all over the place and make a mess in the kitchen. (This is one more reason to continue to buy box wine which is non breakable if left in the original 5 liter box.)
PS: Even when you vaccuum and sweep there will be little bitty pieces of glass on the floor waiting for you to walk barefoot on it at some time in the future.

If ever I found myself in a similar situation, I would try wrapping my shoes (or slippers) in duct tape with the sticky side out (similar to the method I take with tape to remove dog fur from my clothes, except I don't use my feet), and I'd walk around in the kitchen for a while like that until I was fairly certain that I had picked up all of the remaining chards of broken wine glass. I wouldn't, however, go to the drastic measure of returning to drinking box wine.
a blog about spilled wine?!! for pete's sake don't you know my mom reads these blogs? you're liable to send her into a state of shock or something.
Please show some restraint in the topics your choose to write about please.
Cinza-lee has a good idea...next time I can take it one step further (farther?) ... I wrap my hands and feet in duct tape and crawl around for a while...that should get all the glass up twice as fast.....
and polvo...I didnt say i lost any wine when the glass broke...i sponged up the wine from the floor, sqeezed the sponge over a
a strainer..twice just to make sure there was no (or very little) glass left in it.....I don't think a little glass will hurt you...don't chickens or some animals eat a little gravel to help the digestive tract?
chinza-lee says "returning to drink box wine"..does that mean that she did at one time enjoy my
boxed wine? As far as the quality ........I have compared labels on high end Stawberry Hill and Boone's Farm to my Franzia five stare merlot and they appear to have identical % of alcohol.
